A Preventive Conservator, Mohammad earned a Master's degree in Conservation and Restoration from the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, Germany, as well as a Bachelor's degree in History from Baghdad University. He has also completed training in: world heritage site management, conservation of museum collections made of organic materials, conservation and management of tangible and intangible heritage, and digital preservation by using modern technology in the preservation and protection of cultural heritage.

Mohammad has more than 20 years of experience at the Iraqi Archaeological Society in Iraq’s State Board of Antiquities and Heritage, and at the Iraq Museum. He has also worked in the field of non-governmental civil society organizations in Iraq as a volunteer for three years. Between 2010 – 2014, Mohammad supported and assisted in the establishment of several private museums and libraries in Iraq.

In 2024, Mohammad joined TARII as the Iraq Director, leading the Baghdad office, the TARII Culture Center and Library in Baghdad, and all programs in federal Iraq.
