Fellowship Recipients

The Academic Research Institute in Iraq (TARII) provides fellowships for U.S. and Iraqi scholars researching Iraq-related topics. Currently, projects must include travel outside of Iraq and the United States. TARII's fellowships are open to post-doctoral and advanced pre-doctoral researchers and for a variety of topics. Beginning in 2018, TARII also provides reports prepared by our Iraqi Fellows for the TARII website.

These fellowships are funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs through a sub-grant from the Council of American Overseas Research Centers.
